We love being a part of our local community

Feed YOUR SOUL FUND TURKEY TROT

FYSF created a 501(c)(3) Non Profit called “Feed Your Soul Fund”. This Non Profit hosts Wheat Ridge’s only “Turkey Trot” that benefits Community Table’s ‘Feeding the Future Backpack’ program. This program benefits kids that face food insecurity in Wheat Ridge’s local community.

In our first year, the race had more than 250 runners, more than 25 sponsors and raised more than $5,500.00!

Join the festivities as this race is held the Saturday before the Thanksgiving holiday. Learn more at www.FeedYourSoulRunning.com

Toys for Tots

FYSF has done a “Charity Challenge” every December called “Santa Slim Down since 2018. Our community has raised more than $6,500 for Toys for Tots.

We have so much fun going shopping for toys for boys and girls of various ages. Not only do our clients come join us for the shopping events, but we also have staff join us as well!

It is so fun to purchase games, stuffed animals, bikes, coloring books, dolls and more for kids and their families in need.

We send a special thank you to Beyond The Blackboard and Target for providing additional discounts with our bulk purchase for Toys for Tots.

Colorado Pet Pantry

Each summer, FYSF does a “Charity Challenge” that raises money for Colorado Pet Pantry. They help provide low income families with food and other needs for their ‘fur babies’.

CPP has been supporting families since 2013. FYSF has donated more than $1,000 to CPP since 2019.

Maxfund of colorado

FYSF has worked with the Maxfund No-Kill Animal Shelter and Adoption Center from a donations and volunteer standpoint since 2019. As a community, we have donated more than 20 hours of time and more than $800 in donation funds.

Our community members love going to help out in any way they can! We gather donations of supplies the shelter needs and drop them off when we go!

Wheat Ridge High School-5k race

Each September, WRHS hosts their annual Farmer 5000 5k that supports the school’s athletic teams and FYSF LOVES this event!

Owner Brandy Martin always gets in the ‘farmer truck’ and provides the warm up stretches for the crowd plus we host a booth in their vendor area to talk about health and wellness.

In addition, we get a team of walkers, joggers and ‘woggers’ to complete the 5k! In 2019, FYSF won the “Fittest on the Farm” award for having the biggest team participate!

Denver Pet Partners

Denver Pet Partners member’s Lara Daniel and her Therapy Malamute ‘Summit’ came to FYSF to present “Finding Your Everest”. It was a wonderful motivational talk about getting outside your comfort zone and doing what you can in life to be the healthiest and best version of yourself!

Lara was a few weeks out from leaving for her expedition to Nepal to climb Mt. Everest late May 2022. She dedicated her climb to DPP to create awareness of the Therapy programs they provide for humans of all kinds!
